According to Statista, there were over 15 million podcast listeners in the UK in 2020 alone. That is one big wow-worthy number for a medium that’s only been around for less than a decade (2006 to be exact).
With the popularity of the podcast world growing having now shifted somewhat “mainstream” (well, for millennials more than ever), we thought it was high-time we shed some light on our favourite podcasts.
It looks like the PRF team were pretty split genre-wise when it came to our favourite pod-series’. We have the educational, some classic true crime and pop culture listens to share, and of course our essential interiors go-tos. Get your air pods charged and ready and let us know if you think we missed any beauties!
FUNNY & FABULOUS

If you are a SATC fan, yet to pop your SATC cherry, or perhaps just after a good excuse to re-watch the episodes again for the fifth time – this podcast is for you. It’s a proper deep dive into each season, from swooning over Carrie’s iconic outfits, to a look into their relationships – it’s a then versus now conversation with women and society, dating and men on the agenda.

The name says it all for this funny and very real listen as influencer authors Lizzy Hadfield & Lindsey Holland chat through some of those things that you just can’t ask your mum. From toxic friendships to break ups and dealing with grief, these two bring a lightness to each topic. It’s also full of helpful tips and funny anecdotes – you’ll be in for a rollercoaster of feels full of laughter and tears.
True Crime Obsessed Podcast
TRUE CRIME OBSESSED
One of our absolute favourite podcasts where two New Yorkers explore popular true crime documentaries (e.g. Don’t F with Cats and Tiger King ) and give their honest account of what actually happened. The conversations and findings remain respectful to the victims whilst creating some absolute corkers of recurring jokes about the documentaries and reporters in them. You’ll be laughing out loud, we guarantee it.
For a fun weekly dose of news and current affairs in the world of celebrity pop culture, Shameless is a podcast hosted by Melbourne journalists Zara McDonald and Michelle Andrews. With a tagline that sums it up pretty accurately (it’s “for smart people who love dumb stuff”) the podcast delves into the pop culture stories in each weekly episode.
